Digi GPRS / MMS Configuration

For Malaysians, or rather, Digi users.

Being a Digi user, recently i encountered this problem. My Digi default settings, that is, the internet configuration was accidently deleted, which made me unable to surf the web on my phone. Digi retails were unable to get it back for me ( damn, what's your certificate for? ). So, i decided to surf the web for some help. Well, i did fix my problem, and i found that lots of people were also encountering this kind of problem.

Well, here's the solution to it :

Digi GPRS Configuration

Go to your Settings > Configuration > Personal Configuration Settings > My Web

A new account will be added. After that, choose the account and start editing it's settings as below :

Setting Name: DiGi WAP
Homepage: http://wap.digi.com.my
User Name : digi
Password : digi
Use preferred acess point : No

Then, go to acess point settings

Proxies: Enable
Proxy Port : 80 (for WAP 2.0); 9201 (for WAP 1.2.1 and below)
Proxy Address / Gateway IP : 203.092.128.188
Data bearer: choose GPRS, or packet data

Then, go into bearer settings

GPRS / packet data access point: digiwap
Network type : IPv4
Authentication Type: Normal
User Name: digi
Password: digi

MMS Configuration

It's pretty well the same.

Go to your Settings > Configuration > Personal Configuration Settings > Multimedia Msg

MMS Setting
Setting Name: DiGi MMS
Homepage: http://mms.digi.com.my/servlets/mms
Gateway IP Address: 203.092.128.160
Data bearer: GPRS
Access Point Name: digimms
Authentication Type: Normal
User Name: mms
Password: mms
Prompt Password: No
Connection Security: off
Session Mode: Permanent

MobileTV / D'podCast / Streaming Setting

Go to your Settings > Configuration > Personal Configuration Settings > Streaming

Setting Name: DiGi Streaming
MobileTV / D'podCast UDP Port Range: 1024 - 65534
Proxies: Disable
Data bearer: choose GPRS
GPRS Access Point: digistrm
Authentication Type: Normal
Login Type: Automatic
User Name: -blank-
Password: -blank-

Internet Setting

Go to your Settings > Configuration > Personal Configuration Settings > Web

Setting Name: DiGi Internet
Homepage: -blank-
Proxies: Disable
Data bearer: choose GPRS / packet data
GPRS access point: diginet
Authentication Type: Normal
Login Type: Automatic
User Name: -blank-
Password: -blank-

That's how most people fix this problem, including me. The configurations are just the same as the missing / deleted configurations, just that this is manually configured. Hope i solved your problem.
