Internet Explorer vs Mozilla Firefox

For years and years, you've probably been using the best Internet browser in your opinion, the Microsoft Internet Explorer. I've been doing that for years also, it never crossed my mind to try out other web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Opera Mini. Although Internet Explorer dominates 80-85% of internet users, that doesn't mean its the winner and the best of all web browsers. Other browsers could just be performing better, its just that you didn't take the trouble to try it. Well, recently, i decided to try out Mozilla Firefox as several of my friends are using it, and compare it to the Mirosoft Internet Explorer. The result was surprising, ya, really surprising. After using Firefox, i went back using Internet Explorer, and seriously, i felt like using a downgrade version of Mozilla Firefox. To make it short, here's the pros and cons of the 2 web browsers.

Internet Explorer 7

Pros
  • Its the most compatible web explorer with any kind of website
  • Easy to Use
  • Each updates makes it more and more secure
  • Speed bumps to downloads, just 2 or 3 clicks to download something
  • Better set of features to prevent users from downloading something they don't want. Scripts trying to pop up a download box will be intercepted.
  • Provides more information about a program you want to download
  • Prevent users from being tricked by phishing attempts
  • Lower memory usage than Firefox
Cons
  • Slow download speed
  • All those features that comes with it slows it down to a crawl rate
  • Tabs make the computer lag
  • Tends to crash sometimes
  • Full of bugs
  • Have problems loading blogsites
Mozilla Firefox 2

Pros
  • Faster browsing and download speed compared to Internet Explorer
  • Advanced secuity measures that protects your computer from spyware and certain virus
  • Embedded memory, offers to reopen pages lost due to shut down
  • Also easy to use
  • Features can be extended with less hassle
  • Open source
  • Less bugs and crashes
  • Stable
Cons
  • Tends to eat up a lot of memory
  • Tends to freeze when too many tabs are opened stimultaneously
  • Dial-up users can meet with lots of problems using it
  • Less compatible with some websites
  • Permits websites to trigger a download box
In a nut shell, i prefer Mozilla Firefox better because of its more stable performance, plus its faster browsing speed. As a blogger, Internet Explorer has also been troubling me by pushing several widgets of mine to wrong places, not to mention errors loading my blog. Too much tabs don't trouble me as i have a high RAM computer. That's all. Thanks for reading.
